Our logo is inspired by the legendary Galeon de Manila. The Manila Galleon trade was uniquely important because it established the first enduring trans-Pacific trade route (1565–1815), forming the essential link in the first truly global commerce network that connected Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Operating between Manila and Acapulco, it primarily functioned as a massive exchange for Asian luxury goods—like silk, porcelain, and spices—and New World silver, channeling vast amounts of American silver westward to China to fuel its economy, thereby creating tremendous wealth for the Spanish Empire and solidifying the Mexican silver dollar as the standard currency across Asia. This enterprise was not only economic but also a key vector for cultural exchange, introducing American crops and Spanish Catholicism to the Philippines while bringing Asian art and customs to the Americas, leaving a profound and lasting influence on the societies of three continents.
